I have been working with Sam at the Training Fix for almost seven months now and I am very impressed with her and the entire facility. They have made me feel welcome right from the start. I appreciate the “whole person” approach they take and the emphasis on functional fitness. Jenna did a physical assessment to evaluate my functional condition at the start. Then we set goals for weight loss and improved strength, in addition to correcting some functional weaknesses. She then turned me over to Sam who has helped me make significant progress towards each of these goals. Several people at work have commented on the changes they have seen and I know I feel better and my clothes fit better.
I have come a long way in a relatively short time thanks to the comprehensive workouts Sam has developed specifically to meet my needs. I am never bored since she changes the exercises on a regular basis and keeps me motivated with her encouragement. I really appreciate the one-to-one attention and their desire to help me improve. This is a great setting with terrific trainers for anyone interested in improving their overall fitness and health.
I started working with Jenna several years ago after I had my first baby. I had been going to the gym 5-6 days a week, and I just couldn’t get rid of the body fat. After months of frustration I called The Training Fix and started working out three times a week. From the start Jenna was so cheerful and uplifting. Her workouts were tough, but she was Not the drill sergeant that I had stereotyped trainers to be.
After several months of working out with Jenna I noticed a huge difference in my body and my strength. She also helped me focus on my health and nutrition with lots of personalized menu options. With an individualized workout and nutrition plan just was able to help me obtain my goal for a cruise I had planned with my husband. I finally felt comfortable wearing shorts and tank tops for the first time in years.
Shortly after I returned from my cruise I got pregnant with my second child. After a very rough pregnancy, which prevented me from doing much of anything, I was ready to get back to The Training Fix. I had gained back all of my lost weight and then some. Starting back up was frustrating, after all the hard work I had put in I felt as if I was starting back at square one. With a lot of positive reinforcement from Jenna and a lot of “you can do its” I was able to lose all the baby weight and more within six months !! Within several months I was once again able to do push ups as well, which felt amazing.
I honestly have never felt better about myself and my body. I look even better now than I did after my first child and I owe it all to Jenna. Her patience and dedication allowed me to reach my goals. I am longer wasting time at the gym, and no longer doing fad diets. Jenna helped me change my entire lifestyle, and I couldn’t be happier.
I’ve been working with the Training Fix’s Sam Cohen twice a week for the past six months to strengthen my back muscles and correct some of the affects scoliosis has had on my body. I can’t say enough about how happy I am with Sam and the results she’s helped me to achieve! Not only have I seen an improvement in my posture and overall muscle tone, I’ve also noticed a reduction in the discomfort in my back. I’ve even lost eight pounds and dropped a pants size. I like the fact that my training program is personalized to my needs and is based on regularly updated postural and movement assessments (and I don’t have to do crunches!). Sam’s style is the best combination of positive reinforcement and teacher so our sessions are always enjoyable and motivating. I highly recommend Sam at the Training Fix!
At the age of 58 my doctor told me I had high blood pressure. Was I ready to start the routine of pill after pill every morning? Nope! Enter Jenna. Perhaps my doctors warning was a blessing in disguise. Before my training with Jenna I had never been a member of a gym or even exercised. Now I do private training sessions with Jenna twice a week. It’s more comfortable to me than a gym where I feel like strangers would be staring at me as I attempted something foreign. Jenna has created personalized programs that have strengthened me for my everyday routines.
I am keeping up with my three active grandchildren, standing up all day at work pain free and enjoying bicycle rides with my husband. The best part is I’ve done this all without any medication. I am proud of myself for choosing to take care of my body and control of my life. Jenna’s training has required lots of hard work and a positive attitude. She’s always looking for new ways to challenge me, and when I succeed its so rewarding. I am capable of things I never imagined… like push ups!

Fat, tired, zero confidence, withdrawn, depressed, lonely… must I continue? These are just a few words that describe the person I was just two years ago. My future fiance introduce me to Jenna after a positive training experience he had shared with her. Jenna and I instantly clicked! It wasn’t just about losing the weight it was about changing everything in my life that was negatively affecting my body. The positive energy Jenna gives off on a daily basis is contagious. She has become my inspiration.
I wake up looking forward to my workouts with Jenna three times a week. I am no longer negative about myself (because every negative comment I made Jenna made me do ten push-ups.. haha). I have no reasons to be negative: I wake up energized, eat a healthy organic diet, I enjoy my love life, have more energy for my kids, and can now pass my healthy habits down to my family. I can’t find the words to tell people of all sizes that anything is possible. The only words that come to mind are…GO SEE JENNA! The results speak for themselves. I’m now a size 8!
I came to the training fix not knowing what to expect. I’ve never enjoyed working out and I’m a larger woman and I have asthma which makes a lot of popular excise regimens really difficult for me. Jenna has really gone beyond what I could’ve imagined. In 6 months I’ve lost several inches from my waist, arms and thighs and I look great. Even better I feel healthy and strong and my breathing has even begun to improve.
Jenna makes every workout fun and never boring and she has designed a program that works with my body and strengths. I participate in both private and shared workouts and I look forward to all of them. Jenna has also helped me improve my nutrition and eating habits. I started working with Jenna in October 2009. In just six months, and I feel the best I have felt in years; since high-school! I am so pleased with my results. I look physically fit and I feel great! Jenna keeps track of her clients progress. Not only does she provide exercise advice but she is also highly knowledgeable in nutrition. I have learned a lot about what foods are good and not so good for you! Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. However, I have said this since day one, I do not feel like I am on a diet. I am just more conscious of what I am putting in my body. I would recommend Jenna to anyone! She is welcoming, nice, fun and highly experienced! You can tell she truly loves her job and is 100 % committed to her clients. I am a mother and I work a full time job. So naturally I thought it would be difficult to find the time to work out.
